Raji Ahsan
Raji Ahsan graduated in 2013 from the Department of Drama at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. During his time at NYU, he participated in many plays both at the studio level and on the main stage. In his final semester, Raji was chosen out of a large group of students to be part of a fourteen-week class taught by Alec Baldwin, an internationally acclaimed actor and master of the profession.
As a voice and speech teacher, Raji has seen many private and corporate clients take leaps forward in communication that they never thought possible, simply by imparting concepts and applications of deep, supported breath. In the winter of 2015, Raji began corporate lessons with Counter Culture Coffee and Pivotal Software, Inc.; he looks forward to many more fruitful corporate workshops upcoming.
As an artist, Raji is represented by Revolution Talent, and he believes in building, encouraging and healing audiences through laughter (influenced by the values of Lucille Ball, Carol Burnett, Sid Caesar, Dick Van Dyke and others)—a perspective too often degraded and insulted today. Raji currently lives in Brooklyn, where he creates content as a writer and actor, develops breath, speech, and communication practices, and delights the patrons of Smith Canteen with his infectious smile.
